During the pandemic, many families were left behind due to the lack of proper internet infrastructure. The family broadband coalition will do crucial work to ensure this never happens again by educating families about how Tech is involved in their day-to-day lives. Being part of the coalition you will get the opportunity to visit with legislators to learn about closing the digital divide. As well as the possibility of starting a cooperatively owned internet service provider. Visit with legislators to learn how to close the digital divide and more about what other places are doing to make successful co-ops.
We are searching for Black families that live in Minneapolis or St. Paul to join the family broadband coalition. Have your family join a part of something special today. Want to be part of a revolutionary movement in the Twin Cities?
- Must live in either Minneapolis or St. Paul to participate
- You will receive a $300 monthly stipend for having your family's participation
- Commit 6-10 hours a month
- Must be interested in Internet or Broadband
- You must be from a Black or Brown family. (Black, Indigenous, Asian, Latine)
